The 2015 IMC Conference theme – The State of Marketing Address (SOMA), will be delivered by marketing and agency thought-leaders to report on the current state of South Africa’s marketing nation and focusing on how to build a world-class marketing programme using consumer insights.

SOMA will address key marketing questions such as how to build an effective marketing programme and what to do with consumer data. The five tracks that will be covered by this year’s theme include:

  • Understanding consumer insight and data inputs.
  • Campaign planning using best practice world-class techniques through digital engagement and multi-screen environments.
  • The Changing Face of Marketing.  Looking at new marketing trends both locally and internationally.
  • Measuring Impact, through real time analytics and data mapping, and looking at brand health management.
  • Creative execution. Creative work that delivers impact and that is not necessarily measurable.

Recognised as the leading marketing and communication conference in South Africa, The IMC Conference will host a two day event focused on providing delegates with first-hand, case study exposure to the best-practiced techniques to create a truly integrated marketing programme. The high-calibre of keynote speakers set to feature at the conference will address the state of the marketing nation; rest assured there will be no cell phone signal jamming this time round.
