Verusha Maharaj is the Advertising & Marketing lead for Deloitte Consulting South Africa. Her MBA thesis is on the impact of big data on activation strategy. Prior to joining Deloitte she spent twelve years at the largest brand experience & activation agency in Africa. Her experience in the marketing and advertising industry includes roles from operations to executive management. Verusha has worked with clients ranging from start-ups to multinationals and she has run projects and teams across different countries within Africa. Throughout her career, Verusha has successfully been able to combine business management with creative delivery.
In 2016 she was selected as one of twenty millennials from the Publicis Groupe’s network of agencies worldwide to assist in mapping out the future of the agency. The only representative from Africa, she was identified as key talent in the group instrumental in setting the creative agenda and roadmap.
